Lithia Cecelia Brady Dies at 75

Lithia Cecelia Brady died on Monday, Dec. 10. She was 75 years old.

Lithia was born on May 5, 1943, in Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, to Mirriam Elizabeth Messer Brady and Eugene McGuire Brady. She loved her island with her whole heart. Lithia loved to travel, and although she lived in many places, she came back to live out the rest of her life as a resident of the place she called home, St. Croix.

She is survived by her brothers: John David and Victor Achilles Brady; sisters: Donna Brady and Joan Brady Dandridge; nephews: John Jr., Eugene and Phillip Brady, Dwane and Michael Brady, Duncan, Eric and George Brady, Chester, Glen and Robert Brady, Hillary Dandridge, Kevin, Jason and Stuart Rames, and Derrick, Jay and Neal Watson; and nieces: Daren, Lavie and Valencia Brady, Melanie Brady, Sylvia Gibbs, Mariel Sprauve-Goodman and husband Kenneth Goodman, Bronwyn Sprauve Parker, Melody Rames and Gail Watson.

She is also survived by great nieces and great nephews: Andraja, Dante and Deshawna Dandridge, Alicia, Justin II and Krystle Dandridge, Anita Gibbs Forde, Michelle Gibbs, Acima Rames, Ariel and Joshua Rames, Bianca and Kaitlyn Rames, Riise Thurland, the Chinnerys and Fordes of St. Thomas, the Messers and Goldens of St. Croix; as well as more relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

There will be a viewing at 9:30 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 21, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
