The family of the late Ferdinand B. Barrie is saddened to announce his passing on Nov. 29.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phylida Barry; father, Antoine Barry; and brother, Francis Barry.
He is survived by his spouse, Louisa Barrie; daughter, Fernan Barrie-Small; step-daughter, Joan Granville; adopted daughter, Veronn Benjamin; son, Timothy Ferdinand Barrie; stepson, Dean Lawrence; grandchildren: Naomi and Nathaniel Small; sisters: Francisca Barry and Angela St. Jean; aunt, Rose Barry; and nieces: Marina St. Jean, Faye St. Jean and Shanae’ N. Charles.
He is also survived by his nephews: Lewis St. Jean and John Vital; daughter-in-law, Jessica Taylor-Barrie; son-in-law, Kirt Small; special friends: Laurel Royer, Emily Gonzague, Mona Bastien, Bro & Sis Ashbell Charles, Moses Edmund, Margaret Southwell, the Lawrence family, Sharon Jackson, Francis Lewis and Marjorie Moorehead; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21, at Divine Funeral Services Chapel, 129 Peter’s Rest.
A second viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Sunday, Dec. 23, at Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church, Frederiksted. Interment at Kingshill Cemetery.
