29-Year-Old Shot to Death At Bovoni Housing Community

Early morning gunfire in the Bovoni Housing Community on Tuesday killed 29-year-old Harim Prince, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Prince was identified by next of kin.

According to the police report, at 1:56 a.m. officers from the Major Crimes Unit were dispatched to the Bovoni housing Community Building B on a report of shots fired and a man down.

At the scene, officers and emergency medical personnel discovered a black male lying on ground by Building B with multiple gunshot wounds to the body and no vital signs. The victim, later identified as Prince, was transported to the morgue at the Schneider Regional Medical Center.

Police urged anyone with information about the crime to contact the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211, the 911 call center,r or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477. Tips to Crime Stoppers that result in the resolution of the case could qualify the caller for an anonymous cash reward.
