Plaskett Holding Seminars For V.I. Youth Considering Military Service Academies

Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett will hold a seminar on St. Thomas Nov. 9 and one on St. Croix Nov. 10 to help students interested in attending a military service academy.

The seminars are aimed at providing information on the application and nomination process to students interested in attending a military service academy. The seminars are open to all high school students. The military service academies include the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), the U.S. Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Admissions experts, graduates, and local service members will be present to answer questions and assist students with the admissions process.

The seminars are:

St. Thomas, Friday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the University of the Virgin Islands ACC first floor conference room.

St. Croix, Saturday, Nov. 10, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the UVI Great Hall.
