ALERT: Potable Water Customers Continue to Experience Low or No Water Service

Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority’s (WAPA’s) Water Distribution Department continues to experience low water levels at the Kingshill and Mountain storage tanks, stemming from previous events that affected the Contentment and Concordia pump stations. As a result, potable water customers from mid-island to the western end of St. Croix, including Frederiksted town, continue to experience little to no water service.

Consumers in higher elevated areas are experiencing no water, as well. This scenario will persist until the water levels can be restored in the Kingshill and Mountain tanks. WAPA urges customers to utilize additional sources of water, where possible, until the system can be returned to normal.

WAPA advises customers that water distribution crews are working diligently to restore water service to normal as quickly as possible.
