Enid Ionie Thomas Broodie Dies

Enid Ionie Thomas Broodie

Enid Ionie Thomas Broodie died on Oct. 3. She resided on St. Croix, USVI, and has most recently resided in Palm Bay, Fla. She was born in Newfield Village, Antigua.

She was preceded in death by grandchild, Tessa Barthley.

She is survived by her children: Christelin Broodie Johnson, Theodore Broodie, Joycelyn Broodie Barthley, Ruthlyn Broodie Gomes and Joan Carr Wynter; sisters: Ruth Horsford, Selma Joseph, Leon Joseph, Evelyn Green, Olive Browne, Gertrude Stephenson and Rosie Thomas; brothers: Garnet Thomas, Wycliff Gordon, Aldon King, Clarence Thomas and Victor Thomas; and grandchildren: Evworth Charles, Sandra Cornwall, Nicole Broodie, Nisha Broodie, Natasha Broodie, Silmarie Hanley, Jamiller Ellis, Okano Barthley, Kelvin Barthley, Arden Barthley, Chaunelle Powell, Marsha Gomes, Lauren Gomes, Ashley Gomes and Michael J. Wynter.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren: EvVeta Charles, Alex Charles, Jason Cornwall, Janae Cornwall, Nieka Hanley, Destiny Hanley, Odesha Barthley, Olivia Barthley, Ophelia Barthley, Zenobia Barthley and Zakiah Barthley; great-great-grandchildren: Jaiden Bryant, Christopher Crowe and Omaya Rabess; sons-in-law: Emette Gomes and Michael Wynter; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

There will be a viewing held at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28, at Peter’s Rest Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will take place at the Johnson’s Family Cemetery in Peter’s Rest. (The entrance is between the SDA Church and Kathleen’s Restaurant).
