Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday arrested 24-year-old Omari S. Poree after executing a search warrant on a grey SUV about a reckless endangerment incident that occurred on April 30.
According to the V.I. Police Department, officers on St. Croix made contact with the operator of the grey SUV, identified by police as Poree, and served the search warrant.
During the search of the vehicle officers found an unlicensed firearm in the vehicle. Poree was arrested and charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Unable to post bail in the amount of $25,000, Poree was transported to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility where he was remanded.
