Coca-Cola Foundation Gives $150,000 First-Generation Scholarship Grant to UVI

The Coca-Cola Foundation has given a $150,000 donation to the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) to provide scholarships to first-generation students. The grant will fund four-year scholarships for four UVI students who are the first in their family to attend college.

A presentation of the scholarships will take place at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, at the University of the Virgin Islands, St. Thomas Campus in the 3rd Floor Conference Room, ACC.

UVI and Coca-Cola will host a check presentation to announce the scholarship program and celebrate the four UVI students who have been selected to receive the four-year scholarship. In attendance will be Dr. David Hall, president of UVI, the UVI students who are recipients of the Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship, and Coca-Cola representatives.
