Patrick Coureur Dies at 78

Patrick Coureur, also known as “Arcade,” of Estate Upper Love died on Aug. 24. He was 78 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine F.John-Baptiste; sons: Gerard H. Coureur and Conrad R. Coureur; grandchildren: Shomali Coureur, Jasi Coureur, Jomar Coureur, Nayla F. Coureur and Shadya I. Coureur; great-granddaughter: Maya Coureur; sisters: Honaria Janies Delice (SLU) and Lioba Delice(Texas); brothers: Cornelius Coureur (SLU), John Pierrotte (Penn.) and Peter Montague; nieces: Felisha Alexander, Flora Fevrier, Hersha Sookwa, Hershalie Sookwa and Melva Sookwa; nephews: Gregory Pierrotte, Elvis Pierrotte and Elton Celestin; and aunts: Elizabeth Williams (SLU), Olive Alexander (SLU) and Klerona (SLU).

He is also survived by his uncle: George Samuel (MAR); daughters-in-law: Sauda J. Ali-Coureur and Fernella Durand; sisters-in-law: McCrena Pierrotte and Janine Pierrotte; special friends: P. Delauney and family, V. Freeman, E. Hackett, R. Martin, T. Fatal, Bernadette Pierre, Parker family, M. Richelieu, M. Leonce and Inglis family; cousin and other relatives: Mary St. Ange, Beatrice Seville, Linda Williams (SLU), C. Emmanuel, Kenedy Velinor, Theresa Coureur, Augustin, Emmanuel Dujon, Pierrotte, Coureur, Melchor, John and the Phills family of St. Lucia; as well as other relative and friends too numerous to mention.

There will be a viewing held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Aug. 31, at James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
