Man Found Dead Behind STX Gas Station

Police found the body of a gunshot victim Sunday morning behind the Gas for Less Service Station on St. Croix.

The victim was identified by next of kin as 28-year-old Miguel Angel Cruz.

According to police, at approximately 11:26 p.m. Sunday the 911 center received a call reporting reporting a lifeless body lying in the Diamond Crest parking lot area, behind Gas for Less Service Station.

Officers along with EMT personnel responded and discovered an unresponsive male individual with no vital signs.

The victim, later identified as Cruz, appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a medical attendant.

  1. The government have to do something to protect Hispanics lives. They’re not a problem on St. Croix. Hurricane Maria didn’t teach them and I hope the crime stop.

  2. The Big Island of St. Croix has caused the 2018 homicides to rise and the other two islands are walloping from Hurricane Irma. She was nasty and destructive.
