STX Man Killed in Frangiapani Shooting

Tahmal Brinkley, 30, was killed Saturday night in a shooting in the Frangiapani area, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to police, the 911 call center received a report of gunshots in Frangiapani at 9:21 p.m. Officers arriving at the scene found an unresponsive male lying on the ground in the vicinity of the Frangiapani Little Fountain area.

Medical attendants were unable to find any vital signs on the victim, the police said.

Brinkley had succumbed to injuries sustained from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was identified by next of kin.

This incident is under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Bureau. Police asked anyone with information on the shooting to call the CIB at 340-778-2211, , the 911 emergency call center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
