Hudson M. Douglas

Hudson McLean “Dougie” Douglas, also known as “Teacher,” was born on Feb. 14, 1938, to parents Ethema “Tal” Harry and Elcus Douglas in Sharpes Village, Chateaubelair District, St. Vincent.

He is survived by seven children, 16 grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren. He is also survived my many friends who loved and respected him dearly such as special friends: Veronica “Cutie” Jeffrey and family, Henry Riviere and family, Alekisha Joy Petersen, Alexander Petersen Jr., the Rudy Abramson and family, Theresa Thomas and family, Rotary West Bingo family, Laboo, the entire Mount Pleasant Apartments family, Veronica Joseph, Derrick Duponte, Gretlyn Jannette Joseph, Sonya Vasquez-Garcia, Jerome Joseph, Frederiksted Healthcare, Dr. Kozloff and nurses, Graham Urological Center, the Office of Senator Novelle E. Francis Jr.; as well as other relatives and friend too numerous to mention.

The viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 20, at Bethel Methodist Church (Frederiksted). Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
