GERS Offers Members ‘Transitioning from Work to Retirement Workshop’

The Government Employees’ Retirement System of the Virgin Islands (GERS) invites its members to participate in a ‘Transitioning from Work to Retirement Workshop’ to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, in the training room at the GERS Complex, 3004 Estate Orange Grove, St. Croix (Suite 1).

The workshop is designed to provide general information on the retirement process to members who are six months to one year away from retirement.

Workshop topics include:

  • GERS Benefits
  • Medicare Benefits
  • Taxes after Retirement
  • Understanding Your Health Insurance Plan

For additional information or to pre-register, call 718-5480, ext. 5406 or 776-7703, ext. 4200. Seating is limited, so please register early. The pre-registration deadline is Friday, April 13.
