District Officials to Attend PTSA Meetings to Address School Concerns

Parent Teacher Student Association

St. Croix District Insular Superintendent Colleen Williams has announced that her leadership team will make appearances at various Parent-Teacher Student Association (PTSA) meetings scheduled throughout the district for the remainder of the school year.

Parents are encouraged to attend meetings to receive information about their respective school’s plans for the upcoming school year and to formally voice their concerns.

To date, there are no scheduled appearances for any education official to report on the progress of temporary units for schools.

Also, the project request for proposal (RFP) has closed. Once the Department of Property and Procurement awards the contract to the most responsive bidder, the architecture and engineering site evaluations will commence.

The Department of Education (DOE) will then schedule its own town hall meetings in both districts to update the community and receive input.

In the interim, the public is welcome to leave questions and comments under the proposed site plans on the DOE’s Facebook page: Virgin Islands Department of Education, and to attend PTSA meetings.
