Samuel E. Hawley, also known as “Manny,” of Estate Mon Bijou died on Jan. 16. He was 88 years old.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Ann Wattley; father, William Hawley.
He is survived by his daughters: Carmen Wattley Johannes and Elsie Baker; stepdaughter, Beverly Joseph; sons: Earl E. Wattley, Elvis Wattley and Wayne Hawley; grandchildren: Alex Wattley, Anthony Wattley, Shavonne Johannes, Jousha Williams, Kenyatte Baker, Kadegra Frances, Kefira Baker, Wayne Hawley Jr., Krystal Wattley, Krystin Wattley, Krysanne Wattley, Anthony Wattley and Ashley Wattley; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by sister, Catherine Hawley Pennyfeather; brothers: Sinclair Hawley Bradshaw, Johnny Hawley, Joseph Hawley, James Arnold Julius and Samuel Charles Wattley; nieces: Jackey Warner and Mary Liburd; nephew, Alexander Bradshaw; daughters-in–law: Louisa Wattley and Brendalee Wattley; special friends: Ben, GiGi and Jeaneil Smith; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, at First Assembly of God. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
