Jazmine Willock, Former St. Croix Track Club Member, Dies at 22

The Virgin Islands Track and Field Federation (VITFF) learned on Friday, Jan. 19, that Jazmine Willock, 22, a former St. Croix Track Club member, recently died.
Willock was very active in sports when she was growing up on St. Croix.  Her father, George, a track and field athlete and IAAF-certified coach, actively encouraged and oversaw his children’s participation in sports.  Willock’s strengths were in the middle distance running and soccer.

She was very close to her St. Croix Track Club coaches, Mireille and Keith Smith, and traveled extensively with the club to competitions.  She is fondly remembered by her former St. Croix teammates, classmates and her many friends.  She was the oldest of the Willock’s children.  She was an excellent role model.

The Willock family is requesting assistance through donations toward Jazmine Willock’s funeral expense.

Willock, according to Tucson, Arizona Police was a victim of    domestic violence.
