GERS Is Delaying Retiree Bonus Payments

The Government Employees Retirement System (GERS) Administrator Austin Nibbs advises retirees that the annual V.I. Lottery Bonus payment normally issued around Thanksgiving will be delayed.

This delay is due to the recent hurricanes that impacted the GERS system so GERS is awaiting receipt of the fourth quarter payment from the Lottery.  A press release will be issued to let retirees know when the bonus will be paid, according to GERS.
