Despite Electrical Issues, Department of Health Still Providing Services

During an inspection of the Charles Harwood Complex’s (CHC) transfer switch on St. Croix, Tuesday, Oct. 17, an explosion occurred, causing power failure to the building. As a result, there is currently no electricity at the CHC. An individual conducting the inspection experienced severe burn injuries. No V.I. Department of Health (DOH) staff was injured.
