JFL Experiencing Telephone Service Interruption Due to Irma

The Juan F. Luis Memorial Hospital reported Wednesday that it is experiencing technical difficulties with its telephone service.

As of 4 p.m. the hospital was unable to make outgoing calls or receive incoming calls due to problems caused by Hurricane Irma.

People needing emergency medical care during the storm shouldto contact 911 or the Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency Emergency Operations Center on St. Croix at 340-773-2244, JFL said.

“We also want to remind the community to stay safe and do not risk the storm if it is not a medical emergency,” the hospital said.
