The family of K’Mya Gill would like to announce her passing on July 9 at the Juan F. Luis Medical Center on St. Croix. She was 8 years old.
She is survived by her mother, Roxanne Russell; father, Kenneth Gill, Jr.; brothers: N’Shamba Gill and Ken I Jah Gill; sisters: Ayoma Russell and Kenia Gill; grandparents: Cynthia and Donaldson Russell, Edna Santiago and Kenneth Gill Sr.; great-grandmother, Odette M. Gill; and aunts: Cherlyn Nisbett, Shervon Russell, Delia Griffin, Rosemarie Emile, Odette K. Gill, Theolinda Skyler Gill, Emily Gill, Latoya Gill, Kelsey Gill and Samantha Gill.
She is also survived by uncles: Alfred Nieves, Trevor Russell and Derrick Russell; uncle-in-law: Verne A Nisbett Sr.; special family and friends: J. “Precious” Maynard, Larry Laudat, Joseph Andrew, Wayne Charles, Ricardo Richard Elementary School staff as well as many other loving relative and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, at the Central Church of the Nazarene (Mary’s Fancy). Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
