Two Injured in Mount Pleasant Shooting

Two men were shot repeatedly early Sunday in the Mount Pleasant area of Frederiksted, the V.I. Police reported.

According to police, the Criminal Investigation Burea was notified at 12:57 a.m. Sunday that two gunshot victims were being treated at the Juan F. Luis Hospital emergency room.

At the scene, officers said both men appeared to have “gunshot wounds to various parts of the body.” One of the two victims told police “he been in the road” and doesn’t know who shot him. He said he “has no problems with anyone,” the police reported.

The other victim could not provide any information pertaining to the shooting.

The Criminal Investigations Bureau urged anyone with information about the incident to 340-778-2211, the 911 emergency call center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers VI, at 1-800-222-8477.
