Margaret Ann Sweeney Dies

Margaret Ann Sweeney

Margaret Ann Sweeney died on March 4.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, John Sweeney; sons: Simon Peter, John and David Emmanuel Sweeney and David Emmanuel Sweeney; brothers: Hezekiah Farrell, John Farrell, Charles Farrell, Samuel “Sambo” Farrell and David Farrell; and sisters: Mary Buffonge and Catherine Blair.

She is survived by her daughters: Bernicedeen Bryan, Esther A. Sweeney (Major, Retired – U.S. Army); sons: Errol Sweeney, Joseph “Iras” Sweeney (Montserrat), Reuben Sweeney, Samuel Elijah “Jah-I” Sweeney, James Sweeney, Kenneth Livingston Sweeney, Daves Sweeney (U.S.A.), Jerome Sweeney (UK); brothers: Joseph “Bobo” Farrell (Montserrat), Michael “Strange” Farrell (U.S.A.); daughters-in-law: Sonia Sweeney and Donna “Asheba” Samuel; and son-in-law, Charlesworth Bryan.

She is also survived by granddaughters: Blossy Sweeney-Osborne (Montserrat), Lonnel Sweeney (UK), Vekeisah Sweeney (UK), Patrice Bryan (U.S.A.), Erolyn Sweeney (U.S.A..), Lorraine Bryan, Shenecia Sweeney (U.S.A.), Kalijah Sweeney, Renesia Elliott-Sweeney (U.S.A.), Kasheba Sweeney (U.S.A.) and Lorraine Bryan; and grandsons: Quincy Davis-Sweeney (UK), Solomon Sweeney (U.S.A.), Ishmael Sweeney (U.S.A..), Joel Sweeney (U.S.A.), Reuneile Sweeney (UK), Dante Sweeney-Haynes (U.S.A.), Kwesi Sweeney (U.S.A..).

More grandsons: Brandon Bryan, Kanjah “Jah-G” Sweeney, Kemit Sweeney, Xavier Sweeney (UK) and Sheldon Sweeney (U.S.A.); nieces: Joycelyn Weekes (Canada), Naomi Farrell (Montserrat), Mary Farrell (Montserrat), Ivena Robinson-Orji (USA), Joy Blair (UK), Janet Blair (UK), Joan Buffonge (UK), Margaret Buffonge (UK) and Elizabeth Farrell (UK); and nephews: Joseph Farrell (Montserrat), Philip Farrell (Montserrat), David Farrell (UK), Clive Blair (UK), Simon Buffonge (UK) and Joseph Farrell (UK).

Other survivors include special friends: Romeo family of Montserrat, Magdaline Archibald, Rouse Benjamin, Myrthlyn Brown, Helena Roberts, Don-Marie Gerald-Simon, Lucille Piper (Montserrat), Eileen Martin, Lansiquot Family, Peter’s Rest and Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church Congregation, Flambouyant Gardens staff-LSS, Charles Harwood Clinic-Nurse Lawrence, Department of Human Services-Division of Family Assistance, Madana Remy, Catherine Tyson and family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, March 24, at Divine Funeral Service Chapel. A second viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 26, at Peter’s Rest Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
