Ground Strokes Players, Educational Complex Students Place in Casa-Viva Tournament

Ground Strokes Tennis Club members D’avian Lewis-Flynn and Malachi Robinson have won the Mixed B Doubles Division in the Casa-Viva tennis tournament that was held March 1-5 at Buccaneer Resort and Spa on St. Croix.

Robinson also competed in the Men’s B Doubles Division, reaching the finals and placing second.

St. Croix Educational Complex High School student Adonai Smith placed second in the Men’s B Doubles Division tennis tournament. Smith, along with five other St. Croix Educational Complex tennis students, competed in the tournament with varying success: Chyanne Matthew, Zaquira Carti, Gidal Williams, Eumorris George and Dwayna Byrde.

Ground Strokes Tennis Club Inc. is a non-profit organization formed to make tennis available to every young person who want to play while teaching in a fun, learning environment and stressing the importance of good sportsmanship and fair play.
