Jeremiah Francis Dies at 84

Jeremiah Francis

Jeremiah Francis, also known as “Isaiah,” “Shorty,” “Wey-Wey” and “The Mister,” of Estate Calquohoun died on Monday, Feb. 20. He was 84 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Francis; daughters: Claudette Francis, Yvette Henry, Jessica Cornelius and Cyndy Francis; sons: Colin Francis, Lebert Francis, John Francis, Fritz Francis, Joel Francis and Mike Francis; and grandchildren: Larriston Lake, Julian Lake, Jared Willock, Jamelia Willock, Isha Richards, Sakari Samuel, Amira Francis, Jonye Francis, Sheba Francis, Michael Francis, Oneal Francis, Roxanne Francis, Jeremiah Francis, Fritz Francis, Jr., Josiah Francis, Josem Francis, Martha Francis, Mike Francis Jr., Kaylin Francis and Sofia Francis.

He is also survived by more grandchildren: Naima Briscoe, Vineshe Richards, Ivor James, Jr.(deceased), Vanessa Richards, Laurie Francis, Laura Francis, Javone Smith, Jayden Lake, Dekouri Lake, Seneiya Williams, Onija Francis, Tévon Clercent and Tremaine Richard; sister, Muriel Maxime; brother, Ralph Francis; and nieces: Junette, Lornette, Christie, Bessy, Dionne, Ruthlyn, Natasha, Maxime, Veronica, Shirley Althea Francis, Goldine Benta, Esther Francis, Bernadette Moitt, Andrea, Naomi Warrington, Sandra Thorpe, Lucinda Joseph,  Sharon Cornelius and Sharon Francis.

Other survivors include nephews: Jeddidiah, Lorne, Levine, Ulson, Everton Francis, Wilson, Maxime, Clement, Andy, Ralph Jr. and Steve Francis, Claude and Veron Cornelius; aunt, Avis Henry; daughter-in-law, Kazandra Francis; son-in-law, Reginald Henry; sisters-in-law: Charity Francis and Sentilia Antoine; godson, Mack Lake; special friends: George Lake, Pen Rose Lake, Jolene Lake, George Lake Jr. and Leon Sinister; cousins and other relatives: Roland Walker, George Walker and Neville Francis; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, at Speak the Word Ministries. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
