Avril Simon died on Feb. 5.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Joshua Simon; mother, Christiana James; father, Samuel James; daughter, Tekicia Simon; and brother, Benjamin James.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Simon; sons: Lesroy, Joshua Jr. and Wayne Simon; brothers: Jeremiah James, and Lesroy James; sisters: Geraldine James, Sylvia Merchant and Christophine St. Jean; grandchildren: Romarah and Romano Regis, Charles and Charlyce Matthew, Justice and Shylah Simon, Sheniqua Simon, and Wayneisha, Christian and Dante Simon; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Simon.
She is also survived by uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to mention; special friends: Valeria Velasquez, Troy Joseph and family, Corwyn Joseph and family, Carolyn Friday and family, Miosotiz Soto, Paquita Rosa, Dhalia Knowles and family, the Piggott family and Sis Williams; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will be held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Divine Funeral Services Chapel, 129 Peter’s Rest.
