Bill No. 32-0005 – “An Act amending Title 33, sections 42 and 54, of the Virgin Islands Code, to enhance revenues for the Territory of the United States Virgin Islands as part of the implementation of initiatives set forth in the Government’s Five-Year Plan towards attaining fiscal stability and economic growth, and for other purposes, including the establishment of a new timeshare fee, all through enactment of “The Virgin Islands Revenue Enhancement and Economic Recovery Act of 2017”

Bill No. 32-0007 – An Act amending Title 33, V.I.C., subtitle 2, chapter 81, relating to property taxes

The committee has scheduled a meeting to hear testimony and discuss the following Zoning Request Applications:

Chandra Henderson – Application No. ZAC-17-1 — a petition to amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-6 requesting a use variance be granted to the R-2 (Residential-Low Density-One and Two Family) zoned Plot No. 30 Estate La Grande Princess, Company Quarter, St. Croix

Purpose: To allow the second building to be used for dog-related services to include grooming/washing, training, boarding and doggy day care

Carlos Castillo Padilla Application No. ZAC-17-2 – a petition to amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-12 requesting that a use variance be granted to the B-3 (Business-Scattered) zoned Plot No. 365 Estate Peter’s Rest, Queen Quarter, St. Croix.

Purpose: To allow for a car wash

Carambola Zip Line LLC- Application No. ZAC-16 (authorized agent Cosmo Williams) – a petition to amend Official Zoning Map No. SCZ-5 requesting that a use variance be granted to the R-3 (Residential-Medium Density) zoned Plot No. 5B Estate Fountain North ‘A’ Quarter, St. Croix

Purpose: To allow the landing portion of the zip line as a matter of right
