Roy E. Freeman

Roy E. Freeman died on Feb. 1.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Augusta Freeman; and father, Charles H. Freeman.

He is survived by his spouse, Edith Freeman; daughters: Ruthly Archibald and Jacqueline Freeman; sons: Hilton Shephard, Frederick Freeman, Livingston Freeman, Eugene Freeman Sr. and Warren Freeman Sr.; stepdaughters: Leona Hull, Linette Burt and Irma Rawlins; stepson, Charles Williams; and grandchildren: Elroy Archibald, Yvette Liburd, Sheila Archibald, Devin Archibald, Kevin Archibald, Westly Huggins, Shanda Freeman, Shawn Freeman, Rayvon Freeman, Amiquah Freeman, Amishah Freeman, Tajh Freeman, Eugene Freeman Jr., Chanae Freeman, Warren Freeman Jr. and Wanda Freeman.

He is also survived by brothers: Emmanuel Freeman, Joseph Freeman, Harvey Freeman and Stanley Freeman; sisters: Olivia Maynard, Viola Barnes, Agnes Chapman, Rhonda Procope, Rev. Esther Merrick and Ruth Freeman-Dasent; and nieces: Jacinth Martin, Jacqueline Liburd, Juliet Maynard-Webster, Yasmin Nisbett, Jacinth Maynard, Lineth Williams, Linda Chapman-Strickland, Michelle Merrick, Inga Chapman, Carla Freeman, Hester Freeman, Kate Freeman, Rivkah Freeman-Harding and Tzivia Freeman Dasent.

Other survivors include nephews: Kingsley Freeman, Roy Barnes, Roger Barnes, Ricky Liburd, Elroy Liburd, Edward Chapman Jr., Hulet Freeman, Jason Merrick, Sheldon Freeman, Rowan Freeman, Gabriel Pines, Wayne Jones and Lyndon Kelly; cousins: too numerous to mention; special friends: Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose St. Rose, St. Croix Taxi Association, George Freeman, Florence Lawrence, Mary Browne and Rev. John Freeman; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, at Divine Funeral Service Chapel. A second viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, at St. Luke’s A.M.E Church in Estate Grove Place. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
