The Caribbean Community Theater production of the mystery-comedy "The Game’s Afoot – or Holmes for the Holidays," by Ken Ludwig, concludes Friday and Saturday.
Performances are at 8 p.m.
The play tells the story of Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play "Sherlock Holmes." He has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is killed, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. Then it’s up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears.
Michael Baker directs the cast of Davina England, Fred Handleman, Paul Knipler, Robb Kuczynski, Robin Seila, Vandana Uttamchand, Lesa Walcott, and Marie Elise Witmer.
"The Game’s Afoot" won the 2012 Mystery Writers of America Edgar Allen Poe Award for Best Play.
Tickets are $20 for adults, with discounts for seniors, students and CCT members, and can be purchased at the CCT box office prior to each show, or in advance online at www.cct.vi. This play is not recommended for children younger than 13.
