Lanieus Cammie, also known as " Andy" or "Buttaz," of Harbor View transitioned into eternal life on Oct. 16. He was 34 years old.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Popo; brother, Shadon Beazer; and aunt, Sherry Popo.
He is survived by his companion, Christine Mootoo; mother, Agatha Beazer; father, Agustine Cammie; stepfather, Romeo Beazer; grandparents: Melanie Popo, Genevie Reid and Francis Joseph; daughters: A’Kaijah Cammie, A’Zaijah Cammie and Alyssa L. Cammie; sons: A’Lijah Cammie and Dion Cammie; sisters: Adeline Beazer, Donna Beazer and Areesha Beazer; brothers: Tadius Popo, Kevin Cammie, Gregory Cammie, Romeo Beazer Jr., Jahno Beazer and Rahjan Beazer; and nieces: Kyleigh Cammie, A’Layrah Cammie, Layla Cammie, Kimora Beazer, Zaylaa Beazer, Ta’Liyah Popo, Harmony Popo, Shakiera James and Chantal James; nephews: Israel Popo and Caleb Popo.
He is also survived by aunts: Dafrosa Fredrick, Edalia, Ashley Reid, Andrea Popo, Monica Popo, Maria Clovis, Ulerca Jean Baptiste, Electra Cammie, Euline Collymore and Lucita Collymore; uncles: Chandler Reid, Madison Joseph, Henry Cammie and McDonald Cammie; brother-in-law, Samuel Mootoo; sisters-in-law: Ngozi Cammie, Lizette Llanos Popo, Tiffany Small, Nemae Miranda, Kassandra Esquilin, Deborah Mootoo and Candace Mootoo; godparents: Victor and Goddarline Donaie; and special friends: Adrie Bolling and family, Jose "Boom Boom" Garcia, Kenny Walcott, Omari Stanley, Shaleese Tonge, Nayib "Nabo" Rivers, Eddie Gonzalez, Dexter and Vernelle Crooke, Ruben "Goldo" Garcia, Jovon Drummond, Lorna Dowdye, Leonard Richard and the Dickenson family.
Other survivors include cousins and other relatives: Ashell, Dan, Devan, Roman, Genevie, Amiyah Reid, Dillan, Weaver "CJ" Frederick, Zaveion, Adonis, LaFranque, Shyluer Holder-Hansen, Janice, Melville, Isser, Asha Holder, Kevin McIntosh, Shevon King, Iba, Felix, Jessie Jeffery and family, Jacinta Clovis, Maggie Collymore, Kareem Collymore, Cecilia Antoine, Barbara, David and Andre; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The family requests that those in attendance wear festive colors.
The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. will on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Beeston Hill Wesleyan Holiness Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
