Veteran Alphonso Christian Dies at 80

Alphonso Christian Veteran Alphonso Christian of Estate Peter’s Rest died on Oct. 23. He was 80 years old.

He is survived by his companion, Jane Bolling; son, Augustin Christian; adopted children: Corine Bolling Lawless and Craig Springett; grandchildren: Jaime Hernandez, Nigel Christian, Rosa Linda Christian, Augustin Christian Jr. and Noah Christian; adopted grandchildren: Glenn, Andre, Jason and Gregory Washington; nieces: Beverly Plaskett, Marie Christian, Marcia Christian, Katherine Christian, Veronica Christian, Lydia Cabret, Theresa Walton, Juanita Christian, Kathy Loy Christian and Iris Christian; and nephews: Dr. Michael Christian, Gerard Christian Jr., John I. Christian and Bernard Christian Jr.

He is also survived by special friends: Oliver Cornelious, Roselyn Griffith, James Griffith, Iris Wilson, Beryl Bolling Sergent, Kareen Wilson Gilkes, Carmen Rios Carr, Judith Griffith, Cindy Sergent Rogers, Gwendolyn Jacobs and family, Lydia Santos and family, Paula Powell, Sonia Smith, Gualberto Gusman, Alliceson Ramos, Naomi Sweeney, Nola Charles and family, Lorraine Barnes, Inez James, Ann Wilkins, Verne Petersen, Emanuel Sweeney, Paget George, Marjorie Moorehead, Gertalin Bolling and Family, Dian Cartier, Yvette Sanes, Gary Jarvis, Christian Messer, Ira Samuel, Henry Lake and Marilyn Rogers.

Other survivors include more relatives and friends: Hugo Moorehead, Carmen Moorehead, the McAlpins, the Edney, Baird, Byron, Miller, Francis, Williams, George and Christian families; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery Veterans Section.
