Maria Candelaria Larson Schjang Dies at 91

Maria Candelaria Larson Schjang Maria Candelaria Larson Schjang of Estate St. John died on Saturday, Oct. 8, at her residence. She was 91 years old.
She is survived by her children: A. Michael Schjang Sr., Carole S. Pimentel, Evita S. Patton, Enid D. Schjang, Melba L. Schjang, Oswald O. Schjang Jr., Ronald A. Schjang Sr., Kai A. Schjang, Charlita R. Schjang and Guido E. Schjang; and grandchildren: Dave (Marcella), Henry, Albert (Debbie), Stacie Schjang, Freddie Jr. (Sherri-Anne), Mireille, Owen Pimentel, Anika (Leford) Green, Dalila, Davin (Nicole) Patton, Ronald Jr., (Cyntoine), Melissa (Sheldon) Simmonds, Lashonette, Ronisha Schjang, Gianna (John) Richardson, Gisele, Gilissa Schjang, Timothy King, Donald Bough Jr. and Chawnique Schjang.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Dave II, Dylon, Yllyse, Alex Schjang, Mya Pimentel, Azari, Lillianna Green, Ryan, Reanna, Ronald III, Ronel, Rowen, Ronae Schjang, Shelissa, Shaliiah Simmonds, Gion Richardson and Karson Matthew; sister, Alicia Emeric; brother-in-law: Jose Emeric, son-in-law, Freddie Pimentel; daughters-in-law: Helen Schjang and Arlene Schjang; sister-in-law, Rita Schuster; uncles: Oscar and Bertil McGregor; nieces and nephews: Zita Ramos (Samuel), Juanita Canton (Reuben) and Jose “Papo” Emeric (Crystal); and great nieces and nephews: Xiomara Ramos, Wendell Johnson, Kayla and Kaden Emeric.
Other survivors include great-great niece and nephew: Siana and Amore Johnson; extended families: the McGregor, Larsen, Thurland, Schuster, de Chabert, Fabio, Motta, Canegata, Biggs, McDonald, Benjamin, Hyman, Huie, Johnson, Curtis and Knight families; special friends: Claire Motta, Lucy Bough, Betty Estrada, Mildred de Chabert and Marcie Steele; adopted children: Mandy Llanos, Warren “Papi: Jacobs, Dr. Olaf “Bronco” Hendricks, Sheldon Turnbull, Floyd Henderson, Michael Henderson and Dave Davis; Estate St. John neighbors: the Thompson, Lawaetz, Ventura, Ayala and Henderson families; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

There will be Musical Tributes at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will be at Estate St. John.
