Eddie Benitez, 35, was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with first-degree unlawful sexual contact, the V.I. Police Department reported.
The arrest took place at 6:49 p.m. the warrant was issued by a Superior Court magistrate and bail was set at $50,000.
The VIPD news release provided no details of the incident, including when it occurred.
Benitez was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Center.
