American Airlines Cancels Miami Flights Due to Hurricane

American Airlines has canceled six flights to and from Miami on Thursday due to Hurricane Matthew, V.I. Port Authority Executive Director Carlton Dowe announced.

While most flights to the territory from Miami will arrive, five to or from St. Thomas’s Cyril E. King Airport and one from St. Croix’s Henry Rohlsen Airport have been canceled. Dowe said American Airlines has provided VIPA with information on the following canceled flights:

–           Flight 1350 from St. Thomas to Miami, slated to depart at 8:30 a.m.;

–           Flight 943 scheduled to arrive at St. Thomas at 12:47 p.m., depart for Miami at 1:45 p.m.;

–           Flight 2499, scheduled to arrive at St. Thomas at 2:03 p.m., depart for Miami at 3:02 p.m.;

–           Flight 1611, scheduled to arrive at St. Thomas at 3:21 p.m. depart for Miami at 4:11 p.m.;

–           Flight 2379 slated to arrive at St. Thomas at 8:39 p.m.;

–           Flight 1293, scheduled to arrive at St. Croix at 3:05 p.m., depart for Miami at 4 p.m.
