Santiago García Cruz Dies at 92

former senator Santiago García CruzFormer senator Santiago García Cruz, also known as “Chago,” of Estate Glynn, died on Sept. 28. He was 92 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Laura S. García; daughters: Nereida García Benitez and Migdalia García Salazar; sons: Luis E. García, Jose Luis García, Santiago García Jr. and William García; stepson, Ivan Santana; stepdaughter, Nora Santana; grandchildren: Sandra Xavier, Olga M. García, Rina y La Rosa, Luis R. García, Angel Luis Ruiz García Jr., Luis Angel Ruiz García, Maria Nereida Ruiz García, Angel Ruiz García, Iris Nereida Ruiz García, Anthony Maynard, Anthony Xavier, Theresa Johnson, Sandra D. There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 7, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
