Man Killed in Christiansted Shooting

A man was killed Friday night in a shooting in the Hill Street area of Christiansted, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Police identified the victim as 32-year-old Sean Javois.

According to the report, the 911 center received a call at 8:42 p.m. Friday reporting shots being fired. At the scene, officers arrived found Javois lying on the ground. He appeared to have sustained several bullets wounds to his back, chest, and neck, and appeared to have no vital signs according to the emergency medical technicians on the scene.

The victim was transported by the morgue attendant to the Gov. Juan F. Luis Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.

The VIPD Criminal Investigations Bureau asked anyone with information about the homicide to call 340-712- 6092, the St. Croix Chief’s office at 340-712-6004, the 911 center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers VI, at 1-800-222-8477.
