Public Libraries Offer Story-Time, TumbleBooks Online and eBooks

The Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) has announced Children’s Summer Story-Time territory-wide.
ü The Florence Williams Public Library, St. Croix — Tuesdays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 11 a.m.
ü The Charles W. Turnbull Regional Library, St. Thomas — Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
ü The Elaine I. Sprauve Public Library, St. John — Wednesdays at 2 p.m. and Thursdays at10 a.m.

These events are free to the public and to children accompanied by an adult. Recommended ages are 3-8 years old. Story-Time promises to be fun-filled, enlightening and engaging for all who attend.

Those who cannot make it to the library or need to read more books for the Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge can visit the library’s Web site at: www.virginislandspubliclibraries.org for free eBooks for grade levels K-12.

TumbleBook Library is an online collection of TumbleBooks, which are animated with sound, music and narration; they are talking picture books that teach children the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. TumbleBook Cloud is an online collection of eBook’s and read-along chapter books, graphic novels, educational videos and audio books for middle school and high school students.
