Robbery Reported in Mutual Homes

A woman entering her residence at Mutual Homes in Grove Place was attacked and robbed Wednesday night, according to the V.I. Police Department.

At 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to Mutual Homes in regards to a first-degree robbery report.

The female victim told police she was entering her building when she was attacked by an unknown black man, dressed in all black and wearing a hoodie over his head. The victim staid the man struck her three times with an aluminum baseball bat and grabbed her jewelry from around her neck and took her cash.

The woman victim sustained injury to her knee and leg and bruises on the back side of her neck. She was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital by ambulance.

The VIPD urged anyone with information to call the Criminal investigation Bureau at 340-712-6024, the 911 call center or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers VI, at 1-800-222-8477.
