Farmers’ Market Construction to Begin, Animal Feed Available for Sale

The Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture (VIDOA) on St. Thomas advises Estate Bordeaux residents living in close proximity to the Bordeaux Farmers’ Market and patrons of the market that beginning Monday, June 26, Grade All Construction Company will begin work on the construction of a retaining wall to facilitate the expansion of the facility. The construction is expected to be completed in October.
“The market expansion will enhance the overall market environment and improve the vending areas for the regular farmers’ market, the annual Bordeaux Agriculture Fair and other activities in the future,” said DOA Commissioner Carlos Robles.
As a result of the construction, the bi-monthly farmers’ market will be temporarily relocated to a place to be determined. For more information, contact the office at 774-5182.
