Estate Concordia Shooting Injures One

A man was shot in the leg during an incident late Wednesday in Estate Concordia, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to police, 911 dispatchers received a report of an assault victim at 10:41 p.m. Wednesday in the vicinity of Estate Concordia. Officers on the scene contacted a man who had sustained gunshot wounds to his right calf. The gunshot broke one of the bones in his leg.

The victim told police he was outside in the area of Estate Concordia when a white truck sped by and fired shots towards him.

Police asked anyone with information about the matter to phone the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-712-6024 or 340-712-6037, the 911 call center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
