Innovative Temporarily Resumes Cash Collections on Interim Basis

Innovative, the leading telecommunications provider in the U.S. Virgin Islands, advises the public that effective Monday, May 16, it will open one cashier window at each of its business office locations to accept cash payments. Hours of operation will be 1-4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The Innovative Business Offices are located at Estate Diamond on St. Croix, Tutu Park Mall on St. Thomas and The Market Place on St. John.
The option to pay at the cashier window will last four to six months as the company works on installing cash kiosks at each of the business offices. The re-opening of the cashier window is a short term, temporary arrangement until the cash kiosks are installed.
Innovative reminds customers of the additional eight payment options that are available for the customer’s convenience:
• Pay-by-Phone — Call 340-774-2PAY (2729) 24 hours a day from anywhere at any time.
• Pay Online — Use a computer, tablet or cell phone to set up an account and pay bills on line 24 hours a day at
• Pay at a Bank — Pay at any Banco Popular, FirstBank, ScotiaBank or Bank of St. Croix branches in the territory.
• Pay by Mail — Mail the payment to the address indicated on the statement stub.
• Pay by Drop Box — Drop a check or money order in the night deposit box along the outside wall of the business offices.
• Auto Pay – Set up to have your monthly bills automatically charged to your credit card.
• Phone Call to CSR — Pay through a customer service representative by calling 779-9999.
• Recurring Direct Debit– Recurring Direct Debit requires a one-time set up, and it offers customers the option of having their checking or savings account automatically debited each month.
Innovative advises its customers they can make a partial payment at Banco Popular, FirstBank and the Bank of St. Croix branches. A late notice may also be presented at the banks and will be accepted in lieu of a bill when making a payment at those banks.
Debra Thomas-Smith, vice president of customer care, said, “Customers who choose to make partial payments must be aware of the policy guidelines. These guidelines were provided to the banks to allow for proper processing of payments.”
• The customer may pay either the total current amount due or an amount other than the total current amount on a monthly bill that shows only the current amount due.
• The customer must pay the total past due amount on a monthly bill that includes an amount past due and a current amount due.
“Past due balances are considered late, and the entire past due amount must be paid in full to avoid service disconnect. As a result of the delinquent status of the account, it is a requirement that the customer pay in full the total amount due on the late notice. In instances when a late notice is presented at the bank, partial payments will not be accepted.” Thomas-Smith said.
Innovative is working with ScotiaBank to make these additional payment options available.
