Paula Nieves Rosario Dies

Paula Nieves Rosario, also known as “Dona Paula/Pavi,” died on Dec. 30.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrudis Nieves Velasquez; father, Alexandro Rosa Nieves; daughter, Dora Quinones; sisters: Nicolas N. Encarnacion and Juana N. Nieves; and brothers: Anastasio Nieves, Andres Nieves and Pablo Nieves.
She is survived by her daughters: Miguelina (Maggie) Torres and Diana Garcia; sister, Tomasita N. Perez; sons-in-law: Jamie Torres and Maximo Garcia; sister-in-law, Josefa Nieves; nieces and nephews: too numerous to mention; cousins: too numerous to mention; grandchildren: Lisa A. Torres Chico, Phillip J. Torres, Diane L. Todman, Alexander M. Garcia, Paul Quinones and Lisette A. Bumbury; and grandchildren-in-law: Raquel Garcia, Sharon Torres, Stephanie Quinones, Brian R. Bunbury, Moises Chico and Robert A. Todman.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Jolene M. and Jarryd A. Todman, Phillip, Antonio, Eboni M. and Justin Torres, Alexis, Alexander Jr. and Michelle Calles, Ameri and Anthony Garcia, Paul Jr., Troy, Levi and Eli Quinones, Brian R., Brandon C., Brianna I., Jeremiah B., Braxton E. and Bellisa D. Bumbury, and Messi J. Chico; great-great granddaughter, Asja Torres; and special friends: her neighbors of 50 years plus: Dona Carmen de la Rosa, Nora Guzman and Dona Otelia; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14, at Divine Funeral Services. A second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, at Divine Funeral Services Chapel, 129 Peter’s Rest. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
