Neighbors Report Gunfire

Gunfire damaged a car Wednesday in the area of the Walter I.M. Hodge Housing Community, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to the police, at 8:03 p.m. Wednesday, the 911 emergency call center received a report of shots fired near the housing community. Responding officers arrived at the scene and found a parked vehicle that sustained a bullet hole and shattered glass.

The officers found several shell casings nearby, however, no victim or witness were located.

Detectives are investigating, and urged anyone with information about the incident to call 911 or contact the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.crimestoppersusvi.org.
