Armed Robbers Take $20 From Barren Spot Business

An Estate Barren Spot business, Parris Tees and Novelties, was held up by armed gunmen Thursday, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Shortly after noon Thursday, two men entered the business brandishing a gun and demanded money from the storekeeper, according to police. The men took $20 from the business and fled the area on foot, according to police.

The men were described as both appearing to be Hispanic. The first suspect, an adult, was described as being of slim build, wearing a black T-shirt and khaki pants, with a mask covering his face. The second suspect is described as being a slim, minor male wearing a black T-shirt and in possession of a small, chrome handgun.

No one was injured during the incident and the case is being investigated by detectives with the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
