Tourism Department Needs Entertainers on St. Croix

The Tourism Department has its help wanted sign out for entertainers to perform when ships are in port at the Ann E. Abramson Pier on St. Croix, the department said in a press release issued Wednesday. The department needs musicians, dancers and other performing artists.

Musicians will be involved in performing music in a variety of genres. They can be composers, instrumentalists and/or singers who perform either in the studio or before a live audience.

Dancers must be able to perform for live audiences, television, film and video productions with choreographed performances and appropriate costumes.

The department seeks entertainers with flexible schedules available to work during the week, weekends and holidays. Entertainers who have previously worked with the department are urged to contact the office to update their files with the most current information.

Entertainers should visit the Tourism Department office in Frederiksted to complete an application and income tax form as well as provide a copy of a current business license, performance sample and rates.

For more information, contact Deputy Tourism Commissioner Neelia Ross on St. Croix at 772-0357.
