Ignatius F. Bastian Dies

Ignatius F. BastianIgnatius F. Bastian, also known as “Igee,” died on Sept. 28.
He was preceded in death by his sisters: Evelyn Bartley, Anna E. Drummond Brewster and Leona Bastian-Richards; and brother, Robert A. Bastian Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Anita Linda Bastian-Georges; sons: John Bastian and Ignatius F. Bastian Jr.; son-in-law, Alberic Antonelli Georges; grandchildren: Kyshama Montes, Sherese Davis, Sue Ann Lettsome, Lynda S. Bastian and Jahmal Bastian; nieces: Merlene Bastian-Felicien (caregiver), Anna Brewster, Rowena Penn, Diane Johannes, Gwendolyn Brewster, Christina Heyliger, Arleen(NYC), Tammie (NYC), Magnolia Drummond-Paul and Sherrill Richardson; and nephews: Wayne (NYC), Robert (Atlanta), Raymond (St. Thomas), Steven (NYC), Gregory (NYC), Leon and Micheal Bastian (Florida), Alfred Gardenier, Curtis, Maxwell, Kenneth, James and Darryl Brewster, Malachi Bess, John Felicien and Ahjahnie Felicien.
He is also survived by nephew-in-law, John Felicien Sr.; great nieces: Dinah Lee Brewster, Diniqua Brewster, Shakima Bastian-Jacobs, LaRue, Destahnie and Jahiah Felicien, Leisha Donastorg, Kysha Penn and Charleen Issac; special friends: Gloria Joseph, Sinclair Jones, Thomas Williams, Alma Roberts, Sunny Isles Housing Residents and staff, Brenda F. Williams, Cynthia Joseph, Bernadette Fenton, Nuns/Holy Cross Catholic Church, Josephine B. Hector , Marie and Albert Schuster, former co-worker of Department of Public Works; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Divine Funeral Services.
A second viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Christiansted. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
