Police responded to a report from an off-duty officers of shots fired in Frederiksted on Sunday evening, the V.I. Police Department reported.

At roughly 7:25 p.m. Sunday the Frederiksted Bike Patrol Unit was dispatched to the area of Cottages by the Sea, after the 911 center received a report of the discharge of gunfire.

The off-duty officer who reported the incident also requested a patrol and forensic unit because he had found several shell casings.
