Armed Thieves Hit Estate Grove Place Home

Three men reportedly robbed an Estate Grove Place homeowner doing repairs on his residence Sunday afternoon, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Officers responding to a 911 call shortly after 4 p.m. met with the victim, who said he had been completing some home repairs outside of his residence when three men approached him. The men, who he described as wearing white T-shirts and jeans, asked for a glass of water. As he began to tell them that he had no water, he was pushed to the ground.

Looking up, he said, he found a gun and pick axe pointed at his head.

The victim told the officers the men entered his residence and removed two air-conditioning units and his mobile phone, then immediately left the area.

It was the second time in a week that the man had been robbed, he told the officers.

The incident is under investigation by Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
