What’s Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVIE, 107.3 FM Virgin Islands from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, July 19. WVIE is now available online at www.wviefm1073.com. Go to the Web site and look for the link to hear the station live. Doug Lewis is streaming.
We feature new music from Charlie Musselwhite, the Kennedys, Sugaray Rayford, Henry Gray and Bob Corritore, and more.
The Indie Spotlight CD is “St. Thomas” from local artist extraordinaire Dion Parsons and the 21st Century Band. It is a terrific CD with great jazz mixed with a Caribbean flair. Dion plays here frequently and now you can hear his great new CD.
We include music from Glen Campbell, Elvis Presley, Bob Weir, Van Morrison with John Lee Hooker, the Grateful Dead, Sir Douglas Quintet and more.
We remember Dave Carter on the anniversary of his death and play a special set of music in tribute. We also remember Mimi Farina, who passed away on this date, and celebrate the birthdays of the Eagles’ Bernie Leadon, who also played with the Flying Burrito Brothers; we remember the late Grateful Dead drummer Keith Godchaux on what would have been his birthday.
Becca Darling will be playing here July 16, 17 and 18 at Latitude 18.
A Celebration of the Life of Fred Watts will take place on Aug. 15 at Magens Bay. There will be lots of music!
Don’t forget the Chili Cook-Off on Aug. 16 at Brewers Beach. The pre-live music of great Texas recorded music at the Cook-Off will be provided by the Doug Lewis Show.
The show is underwritten by Hook, Line & Sinker and by St. Thomas Radiology Associates.

Unlike many news organizations, we haven't put up a paywall - we want to keep our journalism as open as we can. Our sites are more popular than ever, but advertising revenues are falling - so you can see why we could use your help. Our independent journalism costs time, money and hard work to keep you informed, but we do it because we believe that it matters. If everybody who appreciates our reporting efforts were to help fund it for as little as $1, our future would be much more secure. Thanks in advance for your support!
