Single Vehicle Accident Leaves One Dead

A man was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle accident on Estate Mountain Road in Frederiksted.

The victim was identified Tuesday as 63 year-old Nathan Etienne.

According to the V.I. Police Department, the single-vehicle accident was reported in a call to the 911 emergency center at 11:02 p.m. Sunday.

Officers responded to the scene of the accident, where a concerned citizen, not involved with the accident, was attempting to administer CPR to the unresponsive driver.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Etienne was traveling in a blue Mitsubishi pickup truck on the Estate Mountain Road when his truck struck a pole.

Etienne later succumbed to his injures at the Juan F. Luis Memorial Hospital’s emergency room.

Traffic Investigators are continuing their investigation into the matter.
