Man Dead After Domestic Altercation

One man died Sunday after a domestic altercation, the V.I. Police Department reported. No charges had been filed as of Monday afternoon.

According to the preliminary police report, at 11:21 p.m. Sunday the 911 emergency call center received a call from a woman who lived in Estate Marienhoj reporting the death of her former boyfriend. The incident occurred at her residence.

The woman told officers she was at her residence with her current boyfriend. Neither was identified by the police. They were lying in bed when her former boyfriend suddenly appeared in the bedroom and began struggling with her current boyfriend. The woman said she ran out of the bedroom to call 911 for assistance.

She said when she returned to the room she saw the current boyfriend administering cardio pulmonary resuscitation to the former boyfriend.

The ambulance arrived at the residence and found no sign of life in the former boyfriend and no visible signs of trauma to his body.

Police said the victim was 47-year-old Robert Reynolds.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into the matter.
